München, Germany 🇩🇪 Prost from Bavaria's capital city. One of the calmest city in Europe were people have strong personalities and drink steins of beer on a daily basis. With medieval and modern architecture throughout the town, this city is filled with many museums. One of our favorite was Pinakothek der Moderne, where they display art from Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol and Rene Margritte. All my favorite painters in one building! It can become very difficult to communicate due to the language but it did not stop us from trying. Bike lanes are everywhere and more convenient, the majority of locals skip the driving and pedal to their destination. One of the coolest things we came across as we walked through the Englisher garten is seeing a line of people in wetsuits taking turns to surf on "The Eisbach wave." The city is also filled with many beer gardens and the biggest one is "Hirschgarten,"with seating for over 8,000 people, where you can enjoy a stein of lager or wheat beer paired with your giant pretzel. A couple miles away from the city you can enjoy the views of the Neuschwanstein Castle located on a rugged hill above the village where the view of the countryside was breathtaking. Bayern Munchen soccer team is one of the top clubs in the world and such a team deserves a unique stadium "Allianz Arena," is the first stadium in the world with a full color changing exterior. Bundesliga is a different experience, aficionados live and breathe for the sport, we were fortunate to catch their first home game against Bayer Leverkusen in which the final score was 3-1. To the city where I counted the most weenie dogs, the never ending steins and pretzels, the enormous food portions, the annoying wasps everywhere we will do it all over again. Amazing city worth visiting!
