I'm looking for five people who want to work with me to improve their health and fitness in April. I'm especially looking for busy moms who feel like I did seven years ago.
My life seemed to start going on fast forward when I had kids. Busy days, sleepless nights. Care taking, working, cleaning, fixing, tending, cooking, emotionally supporting, basically momming hard.
Somewhere along the way, I took myself off the agenda. I spent tons of energy making sure my kids ate balanced meals. I took them from activity to activity while I sat watching from the sidelines. Every night when they went to bed, I literally would crash on the couch with cookies or ice cream and just veg. I was spent. Physically. Emotionally. Mentally.
I started feeling empty. I was running on fumes. It was kind of a downward spiral and I didn't know how to fix it. Until I decided to put myself back on the list. I started learning more and more about nutrition. I started scheduling time for myself. Sometimes that time was dedicated to workouts. Sometimes self care. Reading, taking a bath, going for a walk...little things to remind myself that MY life matters too.
Moms, I get it. We pour so much into our kids and husbands and homes. We need to remember, a happy and healthy mom makes for a happy and healthy household. Believe it.
