How slow can you go?!.. tag me and tag a friend #slowmuscleup. Tempo training is greatly under rated and rarely used. It’s a great way to over load, intensify, and increase density to your training. Tempo can be a static hold, this is known as isometric training. This style of training will be used to improve our false grip strength. Isometric training is also a great way to build body awareness, muscular control, and connective tissue strength. These are all very important aspects of not just muscle up training, but also for training in general. By incorporating tempo training into our programs we can insure we are managing the weight (in this case our body weight) efficiently. Tempo is also a great way to periodise and undulate the stresses of strength training. Let's say we are doing three repetitions of dead hang pull-ups. We are using a 3111 tempo where each rep takes 6 seconds, so the entire set takes 18 seconds. This is a great relative strength training rep/tempo protocol for our friends who do three reps of “regular” pull-ups (i.e. fast down zero pause at the bottom). If they start at a dead hang locked elbow postion im surprised, if they get their forehead to the bar they are using a greater range of most average gym goers. Due to the lack of control in this type of pull up Their set would probably be two seconds per rep, so a maximum of six seconds per set. This style of rep is not conducive to strength training. With correct tempo training, we can emphasize the weaker angles or ranges of the exercises. For example, with muscle up training most people have deficits hanging in the false grip at full elbow lockout and at the top of the movement. We can emphasize the pause at these two endpoints of the rep. Teminó el #Open2017 de la mano de las adaptaciones de @wheelwod y @crossroadsaaa . Agradecer todo el trabajo que están haciendo para que el #Crossfit adaptado sea parte de #thecrossfitgame Tuvimos atletas de todo el Mundo compitiendo, midiendose codo a codo y apoyandose a la distancia en una real comunidad y competencia sana. Debemos seguir trabajando todos en pro de hacer crecer este movimiento y de hacer cada vez mas comparables los wod, revisando adaptaciones, compensaciones y modificaciones de movimientos, nos queda un largo camino pero todos debemos ser parte de esto. Quedé 5º en mi categoria a nivel mundial, siendo superado por dos amputados transtibiales, un amputado de brazo y un atleta con problemas de movilidad en un brazo, lo que me deja Feliz pero no Conforme. Todo el Open fue full pierna y le pelie los primeros puestos a atletas con dos piernas quedando segundo en un Wod y por un momento tercero en la General. Felicitar a mis hermanos @seba_nunhez y @ricardoallgayer por la entrega en cada Wod y por el apoyo que nos dimos antes de cada prueba, analizando los movimientos y como atacar mejor cada uno, Orgulloso de Llamarlos hermanos y gracias por impulsarme a mas, me volaron el orto en un par de pruebas jaja Agradecer a @crossfitcoba por permitirme hacer el 17.1 y alentarme durante todo el Wod, a mi casa deportiva @accioncrossfit por darme el espacio para hacer el open en otros horarios a todos los profes que me apoyaron jueciando en especial a @catitacatana por ayudarme a apretar desde el 17.3 hasta el final, por tu seriedad y NO dar Bro Reps y por obligarme a no rendirme en el 17.4 cuando me estaba ganando la espalada. Finalmente gracias al deporte que me sigue enseñando despues de tantos años sobre como enfrentar la vida y me ha entregado tantas lindas amistades. #RiseAndGrind #BemoreHuman #IronWillSpirit
