Calle de Colegiata
Nameless, unmonumentalised buildings erected on a random street in Madrid. The one on the left is decoratrd with an oil painting that shows the abundance of fruits and produce. There are no attachments or ornamental embellishments on the wall, which resembles thr cross section of an object that reveals a canvass painting within. The one in the middle is strangely Italian, marked by simplicity and unassuming, light colours. The one on the right is like a slice of butter, with some apricot jam maybe, all splashed over a piece of bread.
Is what I see essentially a tourist gaze, or is it that such beauty truly lies exacavated and lamentably unnamed ?
