Snog | Marry | Avoid
Paramatta Eels Edition 🏉
Snog: Initially there was significant hype about Cameron King (HOK - $132,000) securing the 80min hooker role at the Eels but it appears Isaac De Gois will be the starting No.9 with young Kaysa Pritchard (HOK - $153,300) coming off the bench to trouble the tired opposition forwards. This leaves us scrambling for a Snog candidate at the Eels but the newly signed prop, Suaia Matagi (FRF - $192,600) could be a smokey choice. He only averaged ~ 28min per game last year with a PPM of 1. If he is able to manage 2 x 20min rotations his price should increase over time as a slow burner.
Marry: Semi Radradra (CTW - $409,900) finished the 2016 season with an average of 61 PPG (including an injury affected score of 3) in what is a very disrupted season on and off the field for the flying Fijian. Semi has excellent bye coverage but at this stage you could only lock him in solidly for the first 9 rounds as he has a court date pending. If Semi can replicate the form of 2015 where he averaged 81 PPG he is a must have if you're chasing that overall position amongst the fierce competition.
Avoid: Bevan French (FLB | CTW - $336,800) has the makeup for a potential trap to ruin your season. With poor base stats (PPM of 0.63) the young talent relies heavily on his attacking stats and ability to score tries. If you're willing to pick the awkwardly priced French in your starting side you'd better hope he keeps crossing that white line otherwise he has the potential to regress in price.
