According to the Echo, after the transfer of Mo Salah, Naby Keita will be a priority. The Guinea midfielder is a top target for Jurgen Klopp as he looks to beef up his midfield. RB Leipzig don’t want to sell, but Liverpool are willing to go up to £50m to persuade the German club to part with one of their prized assets.
Another midfielder on Klopp’s radar is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has reportedly informed Arsenal of his desire to leave the club. Liverpool will want to be heavily involved in the bidding for the England man - but the Reds won’t be drawn into spending too much of their budget on Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Klopp hasn’t suddenly gone off Virgil Van Dijk, and it will be interesting to see if there is another twist in that one. Reports coming from Italy suggested Chelsea had made a bid for the Dutchman - if true, it will be interesting to see if that brings the Reds back to the table.
