This morning my body did NOT want to go to the gym. I forced myself to go and battling in my head the entire time "you don't have time" , "you're going to be late to work", "just do it when you get off today." -
Then once I got to the gym, it was a battle to do sprints. "Just do steady pace incline walk on the treadmill. Its technically still doing cardio." No! I did incline sprint intervals at 8.0 incline and 6mph pace.
Halfway through, I had to stop and go to the bathroom (I'm a woman so yea, enough said about that). Came back and it was a struggle to continue. "I just need to go home. I'll finish it this afternoon". NO! I got back on and finished up my session. Went home, showered, and sped off to work.
Why did I keep going even though every single ounce within me was wishing I could just stay home and sleep for an extra 45min? Because of this photo right here. Every time I feel like giving up, I think about my competition. These girls who step on stage work so hard to get there! They've sacrificed as well! They've given up so many things in life to pursue the goal of stepping on stage and coming out on top.
This is an all in or all out type of lifestyle. You have to invest your heart and soul and yes sacrifice in order to reach your goals (this doesn't just apply in the fitness industry). Whatever you're doing in life, you have to make decisions to work hard for what you want to do, have, and be in the future.
It will always be a mental battle but you can beat that voice in your head. Don't argue with it Don't reason with it. Just get up. Ignore it. Go do what you set out to do. This then becomes a habit. This becomes your grind. This becomes your success. #wbff #teambsh #teamoftheyear #sassandswagger #wbffokc #wbffdiva
