Yogis of #HippySummerYoga we are doing the cows face today. .
I prepared this video for you of how I enter the cows face and added firelog pose. Cows face and fire log are my worst enemies. I do not like any poses for the hips but these 2 are absolutely the worst and I can not do them without a warm up. Your warmup today will be all previous videos I posted.
Tips to follow:
- If you are following along this video you'll see I am frequently raising my hands up before rotations and folds, I do this to elongate the spine, you do not have to do it. - The way I learned cows face pose is that your both sitting bones should be firm on the floor. I know there is another option in settings yoga where you can sit on the hill of the bottom leg and you can also do that if you learned it that way.
- We added half cows face if you are still not able to do the full expression.
- Also this is a challenge for the hips so focus on the hips you do not have to bind your hands in the back.
- Any kinky feeling in the knee back up. .
Fun fact: I am a teacher for 3 years now and there has been no class that I have thought that students were able to do this pose. There is always 1-5% students that can do it without a warm-up effortlessly and 95-99% those who struggle. Also not be frustrated if this is difficult for you, you are just not in that 1-5% 😉
