love letters by Brittany Atkinson.

I love the contrast of metal bobby pins laying amongst soft sheets of an unmade bed. I love the idea of bobby pins opening up like wings when removed from your hair. I love the idea of someone softly removing them from messy hair before bed. I think there is something beautiful in the fact that the tough metal can gently be overcome by soft hands. I think bobby pins are love letters. Someone took them out of your hair in order to let you sleep in comfort. Someone took them out of your hair to leave you more natural and free. Someone placed them to the side and kissed your head. Someone took the time to pay attention to the details of you- something as small as a bit of metal that blends in with your hair. Bobby pins are so tiny- but look around to see where you find them. Think about the stories they leave. Think about the small things- you'll realize they mean just as much as the big things. Stay soft, stay lovely. ❤️
Ps: forever boy. 💙💜
